  • 5+ years experience in cold-calling & closing sales, preferred. Education
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Job Description


The Group Sales Director is responsible for the sales performance of the office - directly reportable and held accountable by the CEO, the Group Sales Director should lead the way for direct revenue generation.

The Group Sales Director will directly manage a group of Sales Team Leaders, all in turn responsible for their own events and teams performance.

All performance, conduct and capability issuesrelating to Sales Directors, Sales Managers and JSA’s must be overseen by the Group Sales Directors, ensuring compliance and advantageous outcome for the business in all instances.

The Group Sales Director is responsible for business acquisition, including cold calling as and when needed by the business, they must lead by the front if needed and at the same time prepare to manage an extremely fast growth team of sales professionals, as the sales climate determines.

The Group Sales Director is responsible for ensuring all sales pipelines are managed correctly and in accordance with business policy. This includes responsibility for ensuring all sales team members utilize the company CRM, keep data clean and that the marketing department utilize data for lead generation resulting in revenue generation.

The Group Sales Director must ensure all KPI targets determined by the CEO are achieved, and that all events achieve sales targets. With guidance from the CEO all Sponsorships, Packages, Features and other agreements should be continuously reviewed to ensure profitability is maximized at all times.

The Group Sales Directors should work closely with the Operations and Marketing Departments, locally and globally to ensure collaborative efforts are maximized.

Responsible for ensuring all Sales Team Leaders are solely focused on sales coaching and sales revenue, the Group Sales Director should be an expert in all Industry Sectors and Market Trends as well as being able to effectively advise the sales team regarding implementation of business acquisition strategy.

In addition the Group Sales Directors insights should feed into new event development, or increased focus in particular territories resulting in increased revenue.

The Group Sales Director should always work collaboratively with other teams and departments locally and internationally on any new initiatives.

The Group Sales Director will ensure the office is motivated to increase revenue and display exemplary confidence, transparency and creativity at all times. The Group Sales Director is responsible to ensure office culture is focused on overcoming adversity and succeeding at all times.


  • Have extraordinary leadership and management ability
  • Be confident to take responsibility for the revenue generation of the office, effectively identifying opportunities and threats to revenue generation across a portfolio of events.
  • Coach and Manage a group of Sales Team Leaders including all performance, progression, conduct & capability matters
  • Be an expert in business acquisition
  • Be willing to lead from the front when needed, including cold calling, prospecting, closing deals over the phone for Sales Team Leaders or Sales Managers
  • Create a positive productive working environment at all times

  • Work with multiple departments, locally and globally to improve the productivity and profitability of the business
  • Competent to address the needs of the business by recommending new processes to improve revenue generation, technological or otherwise to the CEO
  • Confident to represent the business on a global scale internally and externally including highvalue clients, partnerships or potential investors.
  • Report to the CEO on a regular basis in regard to the revenue performance of the business, including clear action points for mitigating poor performance and generating improved performance.
